Lois Mininger Hancock, 85, of Toledo, OH, passed away, Sunday, April 15, 2018. Born, January 18, 1933, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Eugene and Dolores (Fournier) Mininger. Lois was a 1951 graduate of the former DeVilbiss High School and married Thomas Hancock on September 14, 1973. She was employed as a legal secretary for Eastman & Smith, LTD., Attorneys at Law for 38 years. Lois then was a volunteer for St. Anne Mercy Hospital for 6 years. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, and life-long member of Weight Watchers. She enjoyed playing the piano, but most of all spending time with her family, particularly hosting the annual Christmas Eve gathering.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; sons, Terry (Karen) Moebius, David (Joan) Moebius and Greg Moebius; Daughter-in-Law, Lee Moebius; brothers, Michael (Rose) Mininger and Jonathan Mininger; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe), Brent (Michelle), Howard (Shannon), Valerie (Ryan), Andy (Renee), Kevin, Kristen (Scott), Jamie (Jamie), Ryan, Courtney (Brian), Alex (Karli) and Chris; great grandchildren, Marisa, Bobby, Ryan, Kylee, Tim, Peytin, Taylor, Tessa, Elyse, Chloe, Rafe, Carys, Leah, Jackson, and her special furry friend, Annie. Lois was preceded in death by her son, Russ Moebius.
Visitation for Lois will be from 2-8 pm, Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4555 North Haven Avenue, Toledo, OH 43612, where she will lie in state after 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
